Hi there and welcome! My name is Cheyenne (she/her), and I am a Graduate Intern at PPPC. I want our time together to feel like a safe, nonjudgemental, and open environment for you to explore the different aspects of yourself that make you unique. It is my goal to help you feel like the best and truest version of yourself. Self-discovery is a process, and I want to help you feel empowered, supported, and understood while on this journey.
I am an advocate of social justice in my work and my daily life. I am an intersectional feminist, woman of color who is LGBTQIA-affirming, antiracist, fat-positive, and anti-ableist. I believe that learning and growing are lifelong processes, and that progress is possible with the support of a nurturing community and environment.
I am passionate about working with individuals who:
• would like to have a deeper understanding of their own racial and/or multicultural identity. (i.e. first generation, biracial, transcultural adoptees).
• are experiencing anxiety.
• want to improve their self-care, self-identity, overall self-awareness.
To tell you a little about myself, I am a big animal lover. I have two cats, Kitty and Mookie Betts, and I also have a dog, Waffles. I am originally from California, but I moved to Arkansas for college where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Henderson State University. I am currently a student at the Institute of Clinical Social Work where I will earn a Master’s in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy.
I look forward to learning more about you!
